Certificate in Microchipping Companion Animals

This short course is designed specifically for those who are working in the companion animal industry and who wish to learn how to microchip dogs, cats and other small mammals.
Workshops will be held at your premises and will consist of:

  • A tutorial
  • Powerpoint presentation
  • Practical demonstration

Topics covered in this course are:

  • Legislation
  • Equipment
  • Process
  • Registration

To become an approved implanter you will be required to witness two microchip implantations and successfully complete two microchip implantations while being observed by an assessor.

On successful completion you will receive the MTI Certificate in Microchipping Companion Animals.  (Renewable every two years)

Course duration:

3 hours

Cost:

$250.00 plus GST (Plus $25.00 for microchip implantation per live animal)
