Barista Certificate 

An NZQA certificate course in professional barista skills. Learn about coffee heritage and production, equipment and recipes, and making coffee to barista standards in a cafe environment.


Qualification:

On successful completion of this course candidates will receive the:

  • HSI Certificate of Achievement - Barista Skills
  • As well as unit standards including:
    • Unit standard 17284 (Demonstrate knowledge of coffee heritage & production)
    • Unit standard 17288 (Prepare & present expresso beverages for service) 

Duration:

Day Class: 4 days. The course runs Mon - Fri, 9am - 3pm.

Limited to 8 maximum.

Entry Requirement:

Domestic Students: Open

International Students (those who are not NZ/Australian citizens or permanent residents and hold a work visa/permit) must be 18 years of age, have proof of current medial and travel insurance at time of enrolment and aupply a copy of their current permit/visa on application.

Fees 

Domestic students: NZ$250.00 + GST
International Students: NZ$400.00 + GST

Course units are accredited by the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) and approved by the Hospitality Standards Industry (HSI).
