RYA/CBES DAY SKIPPER PRACTICAL - MOTORCRUISINGThe Day Skipper practical course aims to teach pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling up to a standard required to skipper a motor cruiser safely by day in familiar waters. The award of the Day Skipper certificate is based on your skills throughout the week and is made by the instructor on board. Students also undertake night pilotage exercises.Qualification:The successful candidate will receive: RYA/CBES Day Skipper - Motor Cruiser Certificate Duration and Start Dates:Course duration is 4 days. Class Size:Class sizes are kept at a level to maintain a 5:1 student/instructor ratio. Entry Requirement:Restricted to those 18 years. Candidates should have the minimum of 2 days at sea and a basic knowledge of navigation and seamanship, or ideally hold a CBES Boatmaster certificate or RYA Dayskipper Shorebased theory certificate.
