RYA YACHTMASTER OCEAN THEORY 

The RYA Yachtmaster Ocean is a 6 day intensive course on celestial navigation and ocean passage making and is designed to turn the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore holder into a globally-capable skipper. Following the course candidates are required to complete a 600nm ocean passage and submit their sights and workings to the RYA for issue of their license. 


Qualification:

The successful candidate will receive:
• RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Shorebased Certificate

2010 Start Dates:

15 March; 12 July; 11 October; 29 November

2011 Start Dates:

14 March; 11 July; 28 November

Duration:

7 days. 

Class Size:

Maximum 10 persons per course

Entry Requirement:

Candidates should have a sound knowledge of coastal and offshore navigation and sailing, and ideally hold an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certificate.

Fees:

Domestic students: NZ$1,500.00 + GST
International students: NZ$2,000.00 + GST

Student Benefits:

Student loans and allowances are not available for this package.

Accreditation:

This course is accredited with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) of Southampton, UK.
