RYA/MCA YACHTMASTER OFFSHORE - SAILThe RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate is a certificate of competency for skippering yachts up to 24m/200 tonnes within 150 miles of a safe haven overseas. It consists of comprehensive package of a 7 day theory and intensive 5 day practical afloat training and includes STCW 95 Basic Training. The 6 week package also includes an additional 5 days of practical sea time plus a 5 day radar course.Qualification:The successful candidate will receive:

Class Size:Maximum 10 persons per course Entry Requirement:Candidates must be aged 18 or over. Candidates must have logged 50 days at sea, 2500 nautical miles, 5 days as skipper on a yacht while cruising at sea. This mileage must be logged on genuine cruises or passages and not only short day trips. The mileage must include at least 5 varied passages with rhumb lines of over 60 miles, two of which the candidate must have undertaken as skipper and two of which must have been undertaken at night. Half of the qualifying sea time must have been conducted in tidal waters. Candidates must obtain a seafarers certificate of medical fitness before the start of the course.
